Classical meaning

The Creative brings supreme success. Perseverance is favorable.

乾。元。亨。利。貞。

Image: The movement of Heaven is vigorous. Thus the superior man becomes strong and tireless.

It represents the primordial creative force, the pure yang principle. It symbolizes leadership, initiative, and creative power.

The six lines

Line 1. The Creative – Hidden Dragon. Do not act. Conserve energy and study the terrain. The time to emerge has not yet come.
Line 2. The Creative – One sees the dragon in the field. It is favorable to see the great man. Approach mentors and noble alliances. It is time to engage with discretion.
Line 3. The Creative – The noble remains diligent throughout the day; at night, vigilant as if in danger. No fault. Maintain discipline and sobriety. Attentive perseverance prevents errors.
Line 4. The Creative – Perhaps leaps into the abyss. Without guilt. If the occasion demands, dare a calculated advance. There will not always be guarantees, but preparation supports you.
Line 5. The Creative – The dragon soars in the sky. It is favorable to see the great man. Assume elevated responsibility. Lead with greatness and consult the wise.
Line 6. The Creative – The proud Dragon brings regret. Avoid arrogance at the summit. Moderate your impulse to prevent turning achievement into downfall.
