The six lines

Line 1. Duration – Deep perseverance. Righteousness brings misfortune. Nothing is favorable. Do not confuse perseverance with stubbornness. Initial flexibility prevents ruin.
Line 2. Duration – Regret disappears. With balance and firmness, errors naturally dissipate.
Line 3. Duration – Failing to persevere in one’s virtue brings shame. Even with firmness, there will be humiliation. Do not merely maintain the appearance of perseverance; be integral in your essence.
Line 4. Duration – Hunting and not finding prey. To persevere in something void yields no gain. Assess whether your pursuit has a foundation.
Line 5. Duration – Perseverance in virtue. Auspicious for the woman; inauspicious for the man. Be steadfast in your virtue, yet know how to adapt to the proper role: to welcome or to lead.
Line 6. Duration – Unstable perseverance leads to misfortune. Avoid fluctuations and impulses. True endurance arises from inner calm.
