Prince Kang receives numerous horses as a gift; on a single day, he is granted audience three times.

晉。康侯用錫馬蕃庶。晝日三接。

Image: The sun rises over the earth: the image of progress. Thus, the noble one illuminates his virtues through the clarity of his conduct.

The six lines

Line 1. Progress – Advances with difficulty and obstacles. Correct persistence is auspicious. Without confidence, yet there is abundance, without blame. Do not be discouraged by initial obstacles. Patience and steadfastness will bring balance.
Line 2. Progress – Advances with caution. Correct persistence is auspicious. Receives great blessing from the Queen Mother. Accept the aid and trust in the protection offered. Progress is established through humility.
Line 3. Progress – The support of the people is unanimous, and regret vanishes. Trust in mutual support. When there is consensus, progress becomes solid.
Line 4. Progress – Advances like a nocturnal rat. Persistence is dangerous. Avoid covert actions or those driven by hidden interests. Transparency is essential for progress.
Line 5. Progress – Regret disappears. Do not worry about gains or losses. Advancing brings success; nothing is unfavorable. Do not cling to apparent losses. What matters is to maintain the righteous direction.
Line 6. Progress – Advances with the horns. Uses force to attack the city. Dangerous, yet auspicious; without fault. However, persistence may bring disgrace. Use force only when inevitable. Victory may come, but moderation is what prevents future wear.
