Classical meaning

Success. Favorable to righteousness.

兌。亨。利貞。

Image: Lake over lake: the image of joy. The superior man joins with friends to discuss and practice goodness.

It expresses true joy, free communication, and pleasure with responsibility.

The six lines

Line 1. Joy – Harmony in joy. Favorable. Seek companions and environments that reinforce your inner serenity.
Line 2. Joy – Sincerity in joy brings fortune. Regret disappears. Cultivate authenticity in relationships; this dissolves past misunderstandings.
Line 3. Joy – Joy that comes from external sources brings misfortune. Do not seek pleasure solely in external influences. True joy is cultivated from within.
Line 4. Joy – Negotiations and conversations do not bring calm. But from illness, joy may arise. Accept difficulties as part of the process; overcoming them brings strength and contentment.
Line 5. Joy – Confidence amid weariness. There is danger. Beware of fragile alliances. Examine in whom or what you place your trust.
Line 6. Joy – Joy conducted and guided. Channel your joy toward constructive paths. Enthusiasm requires direction.
